This staged MA programme in Field Linguistics will appeal to all who are starting their SIL training with a focus on Linguistics, Dictionary Making or Translation Studies or who have completed the first part of their training in these subject areas during the past few years.
The programme is validated by Middlesex University (2012-13 only). It will then be offered, subject to validation, by University of Gloucestershire (2013-14).
In order to be accepted onto the programme, we require from you:
- A first (i.e. bachelor's) degree or equivalent work experience
- Assurance that you expect to have a suitable internship assignment with SIL or equivalent in another setting
- And for non mother tongue English speakers or those that have not completed their education in English, a recent English language qualification.
